Who is Jonathan Lin?
Jonathan Lin is a Singapore-based underwater photographer, Marelux Senior Influencer and a founding co-creator of the TIGERSHARK system. As a respected voice in the global dive community, he is known for blending deep-sea storytelling with field-tested gear innovation.
Jonathan’s passion for the ocean began in childhood, inspired by marine documentaries. By 1996, he was already diving into the deep blue. In 2010, he picked up his first underwater camera—and never looked back.
His work has been featured in scuba magazines, travel books such as Black is the New Blue, and global destination campaigns. As Marelux Senior Influencer, Jonathan represents one of the most advanced imaging systems in the industry, working closely with gear manufacturers and ocean advocates.
He has spoken at leading dive expos across Asia, collaborated with WildAid and Jay Chou on sea turtle conservation, and leads marine awareness programs in schools and summer camps. With every dive and every shot, Jonathan helps shape the future of ocean exploration and underwater imaging.

Jonathan joined TIGERSHARK not just as an ambassador, but as a founding co-creator of our modular gear system. His early insights helped shape the engineering behind QuickHook, with a focus on ease of use, underwater locking confidence, and real-world field performance.
As a photographer and gear tester, Jonathan provided critical feedback on underwater usability, material stress points, and fast-attachment behavior during dives. His co-creation spirit led to one of TIGERSHARK’s most iconic modular standards — built from real experience in the field.

Driven by a shared passion for product innovation and underwater storytelling, Jonathan is now working directly with the founder of TIGERSHARK to co-develop a new generation of modular tools tailored for underwater photography. From quick-swap lens mounts to fast-attach arm systems, each design is engineered to enhance creative freedom, comfort, and speed during dives.
Reflecting his input and insight, select signature tools will proudly carry his initials — including the upcoming MagLens Ring – JL and future co-created pieces.
